This event is a collaboration between Nordregio and the Nordic Council of Ministers. Information regarding registration and more can be found below.
Background
During 2018 Nordregio mapped municipalities in the Nordic region that are frontrunners in implementing the Agenda 2030 and the 17 SDG's. 27 municipalities were identified as frontrunners then, and we know that even more municipalities have stepped up their actions on the Agenda 2030 work since. The identified municipalities and their actions were described in the report Global goals for local priorities: Agenda 2030 at the local level: http://www.nordregio.org/publications/global-goals-for-local-priorities-the-2030-agenda-at-local-level/
We also received feedback regarding the wish for continued collaboration within the Nordic region. The aim of this network would be to learn from each other and work together to implement one, several (targeted approach) or all SDG's (holistic approach) in the municipal organisation and in external work.
Next
This seminar will be one of the outputs in order to meet this demand. The seminar will take place at Downtown Camper by Scandic in Stockholm on the 28th of October. The programme and registration will be announced and sent out in August, but we would also appreciate suggestions to the programme: Perhaps you have a good example that should be high-lighted?
