Green and Inclusive Rural Development in the Nordics
The Nordic thematic group for Green and Inclusive Rural Development focuses on addressing significant development trends such as climate change, digital transition, and post-pandemic recovery. By bringing together national and regional representatives and experts, the group aims to develop and share new knowledge, fostering collaboration to create added value across the Nordic Region. Their work supports policymakers and planners at all levels to develop green and inclusive rural areas, contributing to the Nordic Vision 2030 and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Green, Innovative and Resilient Nordic Regions
The Nordic Thematic Group for Green, Innovative and Resilient Regions focuses on generating new knowledge and fostering collaboration among senior-level officials from national, regional, and cross-border levels. Building on previous activities, the group aims to enhance the resilience and innovation of Nordic regions. By disseminating research results and engaging in policy discussions, the group contributes to the Nordic vision of becoming the most sustainable and integrated region globally.

The Nordic Thematic Group for Green and Inclusive Urban Development aims to facilitate knowledge exchange among regional policy stakeholders across the Nordic countries, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland. During the 2021-2024 programme period, the group has developed projects focusing on multilocality and inclusiveness, building on the work of previous thematic groups. By fostering collaboration and sharing experiences, the group contributes to sustainable urban development in the Nordic region.
